Background
Kesem at Pitt is a non-profit organization led by passionate college students that provides support for children through and beyond a parent’s cancer. Their flagship program Camp Kesem is a week-long overnight summer camp for kids age 6-18. All services are provided at no cost to families.
My Role
As Alumni, Marketing, and PR (AMP) coordinator, I was responsible for:
Designing and executing annual communication plan to relevant chapter stakeholders including Newsletters, Blogs, Social Media activities (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram)
Supporting chapter leadership team through deployment of marketing and publicity resources in support of chapter goals
Maintaining chapter’s kesem.org webpage
Leading chapter’s publicity efforts including pitching local media outlets, writing and disseminating press releases, and cultivating local media contacts
